The original Valva Sheen was a sportswear manufacturer founded in 1932; the factory was based in Cincinnati, Southwest Ohio. Velva Sheen products became popular among colleges, sport teams, and even the US marines as the company's reputation spread throughout America. The original company stopped its production in 1999. In 2009, Topwin Corporation brought Velva Sheen back to life; the company is now based in Torrance, California, continuing its legacy in producing Made-in-USA with entirely domestic American materials.
In addition to that tradition of quality and craftsmanship, Velva Sheen launched its new made-in-Japan Red Label this Fall/Winter 17: Japanese loopwheeled knit, all made in Japan.
