It’s been a long time coming and we are very excited to announce that we will finally be working with Battenwear!
The New York-based clothing line is specialized in producing ultra soft, silky smooth, water-and-wind-resistant nylon-based-with-cotton-handfeel materials, outdoorsy kind of garments and accessories. But don’t be fooled by the description given above because the kind of ‘outdoorsy’ products that Battenwear produces are both practical and very, very stylish and sophisticated; as the good people over at Battenwear describe themselves: “Battenwear is for the adventuere who needs well-made gear that can handle the demands of the great outdoors.”
The mastermind behind all this magical stuff is the brand’s designer Shinya Hasegawa–who is a former designer for Woolrich Woolen Mills collection. Founded in 2011 in New York City, Buttenwear is the product of Hasegawa’s gravitation and journey through the surfing, hiking, climbing, and camping culture in which he’s participated personally in the past.
Heavily influenced by the said cultures of the late 60s all the way through early 80s, Battenwear focuses on making “great looking outdoor clothes that are, above all else, functional and comfortable”.
Right now we have a mrico-small selection from the brand, check out what we currently offer HERE
